MSA Orion Multigas Detector Economy Kit
The economy kit for MSA Orion multigas detector comes with alkaline batteries or NiMH battery pack and charger, calibration cap and an instructional manual.
The Orion gas detector from MSA is designed to be a low-cost, reliable, and easy-to-use portable instruments capable of detecting presence of Oxygen, H2S, Carbon Monoxide, and combustible gases. MSA Orion detectors meet intrinsic safety testing requirements in certain hazardous atmospheres and are approved by UL and cUL for use in Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C and D.
Battery options for this MSA multi-gas detector include alkaline batteries (up to 8 hours of use) and rechargable NiMH battery pack (for up to 16 hours of continuous use with pump mode or up to 20 hours in the diffusion mode).
The Orion Multigas Detector has one of the largest displays of any four-gas portable detector on the market. Its backlighting provides exceptional contrast, making it easy to read in low-light conditions and from a variety of angles. Readings for four gases are displayed simultaneously. Alarm lights are easily visible from all angles.
This multigas detector features visual and audible alarms for a variety of situations: battery power warning, exceed STEL or TWA levels, combustible gas level exceeds 100% LEL, both oxygen deficiency and oxygen enrichment alarm, pump malfunction and blocked flow alarm.
MSA 20L combustible gas sensor is used in the standard version of the Orion Multigas Detector, providing up to 50 times the silicone poison tolerance compared to other mutligas detectors, and considerably expanding the sensor’s service life. All sensors used in the Orion Multigas Detector are easy to maintain - they can be replaced or inspected upon removing three screws and the sensor cover.
Calibration of the Orion gas detector requires a calibration gas cylinder, regulator and tubing to supply gas to instrument. Calibration is easily accomplished utilizing push buttons on the face of the instrument, making internal instrument access unnecessary. In a standard four-gas configuration (combustible, O2, CO, H2S), this MSA gas detector can be calibrated from one cylinder.
It comes with a two-year warranty on all components except the instrument electronics and mechanical components, which come with a lifetime warranty.
MSA Orion detectors are compatible with the optional Galaxy® Automated Test System that provides automatic testing, calibration, and record keeping, thus helping to reduce human error.
