MSA Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector

MSA Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector MSA Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector
MSA Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector MSA Altair Pro Single-Gas Detector

This MSA single gas detector is equipped with liquid crystal display [LCD] with large, easy to read characters, showing gas concentration in PPM or % for O2.
The Altair Pro Single Gas Detector is to be used when performing a hazard assessment to assess potential worker exposure to specific toxic gases for which a sensor is installed and oxygen-deficient or oxygen-rich atmospheres for oxygen versions only.
MSA Altair Pro detectors are powered by a replaceable CR2 lithium battery (only Energizer EL1CR2, Varta CR2, or Panasonic CR2 batteries should be used) and come with a full two-year warranty (warranty does not cover the battery. One year warranty on SO2, NO2, Cl2, ClO2, NH3, HCN, and PH3 sensors).

The MSA Altair Pro gas detectors use fast-responding 20 Series oxygen and toxic sensors. The sensors simply plug in to the internal circuit board, making replacement a easy.

This gas detector comes in a unique configuration for remote oxygen measurements - the O2 sensor is attached remotely at the end of a ten-foot cable, rather than inside the instrument’s casing. This design allows the user to lower the sensor into a remote location and monitor the O2 level from ten feet away.

A triple alarm system helps ensure that the user is aware of the hazardous situation. Altair Pro single gas detector from MSA features a loud audio alarm (average of 95 dB @ 1 foot) which is designed not to be confused with other workplace sounds and covers an extended frequency range to make sure that tone death individuals can still heat it. The visual alarm features dual LED ilghts located on top of the instrument which can be seen from all angles. The standard internal vibrating alarm emits a pulse that also calls attention to the user when in alarm mode. Alarm set points are factory pre-set and are manually adjustable prior the first time the units are turned on, or with the use of IR communication at any time.

This gas detection instrument is equipment with a data logging function. The default setting is three minute peak readings. This sample rate shall be configurable via a PC from 15 second to 15 minute peaks or one minute peak average. The log capacity is at least 50 latest events.

MSA Altair Pro detectors are compatible with the Altair QuickCheck Station, which is an inexpensive test station for the Altair and AltairPro gas detectors. Available in manual and automatic versions, this station quickly verifies the functionality of the instrument's alarm system and then performs a gas response test (bump check). This Altair detector is also compatible with MSA Galaxy Automated Test System that provides automatic calibration and record retention.
