MSA Altair 5 Multigas Detector Industrial Kit
MSA Altair 5 Industrial kit includes the Altair 5 multigas detector with a monochrome display screen, integral pump (or diffusion option), rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack (or alkaline battery options), charger, data logging, calibration cap (diffusion units only), 10 ft sampling line and 1 ft probe, tubing, CD manual.
This capable multi-gas detector has all the basic features of high end detectors without at an economical price. MSA Altair 5 gas detectors are pre-programmed with over 18 languages, helping to eliminate a possible language barrier during use.
Integral pump is capable of drawing samples from 50 feet away (using 1.5mm ID tubing) within nine seconds, or from 80 feet away (using 3.5mm ID tubing) within only 15 seconds.
Lithium-ion battery pack of this MSA multi gas detector recharges quickly and provides up to 15 hours of run time without noticable effects on memory. Li-ion battery technology holds charge for months, helping to reduce ownership cost.
Altair 5 industrial gas detector from MSA can be outfitted with sensor combinations to measure 11 different gases: combustible gas, oxygen, CO, H2S, SO2, Cl2, NO2, NH3, PH3, HCN, ClO2. The Altair 5 multigas detectors can have a maximum of four sensors installed at any time and can display readings of five separate gases simultaneously (Dual Toxic Sensor provides both CO and H2S sensing capabilities in a single package). They come with a thick rubber housing that provides a non-slip profile for secure grip and protect the detector from a six foot drop.
These MSA gas detectors feature visual, audible and vibration alarms for various situations such as battery power loss, exceeding STEL or TWA levels, combustible gas level in excess of 100% LEL or 5.00% Vol CH4, no instrument movement is detected for 30 seconds. This multigas detectors also has an InstantAlert feature that allows the user to manually activate all alarms if the situation requires.
Internal memory of Altair 5 detecrors from MSA is capable of recording over 1,000 events for quick overview of calibration records and alarm events. The recorded ata log entries contain the date, time, and record of peak and average readings for each gas sensor (oxygen is recorded as maximum and minimum for the time intervals). Furthermore, If additional details are required, full data log records can be downloaded and reviewed. Altair 5 is compatible with the MSA Galaxy Automated Test System that provides automatic testing, calibration, and record keeping, thus helping to reduce human error. Test records can be easily accessed through the network or stored on a memory card for retrieval at a later date if needed.
MSA Altair 5 detectors and CO/H2S/LEL/O2 sensors come with a two-year back-to-back warranty under normal use conditions. Other sensors shall be warranted for at least 12 months.
