CPA Aluminized Approach Suit with vapor barrier
Aluminized approach suit AP550 with vapor barrierl is similar to the regular approach suit from Chicago Protective Apparel, except it has an added lining made of flame retardant neoprene coated fire resistant cotton. It is best suited for protection from high radiant heat and molten metal splash - this high temperature aluminized suit helps shed both ferrous and non ferrous molten metals. This heat resistant aluminized suit includes a hood, 30" long jacket, pants, overshoes, gloves and a black cordura nylon duffel bag.
Along with the ability to reflect 95% of radiant heat, aluminized clothing is able to reduce the flow of ambient heat by 50% when compared to non aluminized fabric.
This aluminized approach suit is lined with neoprene coated FR cotton and is suitable for applications where ambient temperatures do not exceed 200°F (93C) and for approaching to within a few yards from flames and radiant heat up to 2000°F.
