CPA 7 oz Aluminized PBI Blend Coat
An aluminized PBI coat provides flexibility, temperature resistance and tear resistance combination that is superior to other high heat fabrics. This coat is made with 7 ounce PBI fabric that maximizes comfort due to its low weight but reduces the insulating properties, allowing temperatures to travel through this coat faster than through some other thicker garments. Aluminized PBI is ideal for applications demanding dexterity and maximum flexibility in a light weight garment, yet it might not be the best option for jobs that present potential for large amounts of molten splash or other risks of prolonged contact with hot objects.
Aluminum coated coats with PBI backing material are the thinnest coats, yet they are able to withstand over 1000 degrees F in contact temperature for short periods of time. This temperature resistant aluminized coat from Chicago Protective Apparel sheds molten splash and is suitable for protection from radiant heat at up to approximately 2000 degrees F.
