3M BE-12B Tychem QC Head Cover, Blue Color
3M BE-12B series is a blue color loose fitting, positive pressure respiratory inlet covering. These head covers from 3M should be combined with an appropriate powered air purifying blower unit (PAPR) to provide respiratory protection against certain particulates, organic vapors, acid gases and other inorganic gases. Designed for use with 3M Air-Mate and Breathe Easy PAPR assemblies.
BE-12B blue color head covers/hoods from 3M feature a wide-view faceshield and a Tychem QC blue color faceseal, which is coated with 1.25 mil polyethylene and offers splash protection against many inorganic acids, bases and other liquid chemicals such as pesticides.
The head cover is held in place on the head by a sewn-in, elastic headband. Breathing air is supplied from a breathing tube connected to a snap-in hose connector, which is sewn into the back of the head cover. Breathing air travels through the open space at the top of the head cover, down over the user’s face and down through the holes in faceseal.
