3M FR-M40 Gas Mask
3M FR-M40 gas mask comes with several unique design features suited for first responders. It features a soft silicone faceseal and two speaking diaphragms to ensure easy communication.
The 3M FR-M40 full facepieces are made of a soft, conformable silicone material with a single flanged edge for a secure seal. An optional butyl rubber "second skin" fits easily over this gas mask's facepiece to help protect it from chemicals.
An optional butyl rubber coated nylon hood covers head and neck to help provide skin protection from many chemical agents. Meets MIL-PRF-51251A (EA). The butyl rubber coated hood must be used with second skin.
Features: this 3M gas mask has a drinking tube that can be used without removing the facepiece, cartridges can be mounted on either side of the facepiece to enable weapon sighting
All canisters are sold separately. Facepiece is NIOSH-approved for use with either FR-C2A1 or the FR-64 DIN-threaded cartridges. Cartridges meet the gas life criteria of U.S. MIL-PRF-51560A (EA) and MIL-DTL-32101 for chemical warfare agents.
