It combines the comfort of a soft silicone faceseal with a second skin for enhanced permeation protection. It also features two speaking diaphragms to ensure easy communication. This 3M gas mask comes with eyepiece outserts (clear or gray) that protect the primary lenses from scratches and damage, thereby prolonging the life of the facepiece.

3M FR-M40B CBRN gas masks have been tested and certified by NIOSH for use against many warfare agents including sarin and mustard gas as well as numerous industrial chemicals.

FR-M40B gas masks from 3M are approved per NIOSH Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) requirements when used in conjunction with 3M FR-15-CBRN DIN threaded cartridges.

These 3M CBRN gas masks are made of a soft and conformable silicone material with a single flanged edge for a secure seal. A butyl rubber second skin fits easily over the facepiece to help protect it from chemicals while an optional butyl coated nylon hood can cover the head and neck of the wearer and provide skin protection from many chemical agents (the butyl coated Nylon hood must be used with second skin).

Features: this gas mask has a drinking tube that can be used without removing the facepiece, canister can be mounted on either side of the facepiece to enable weapon sighting from both sides.

FR-M40B includes the facepiece with a butyl rubber second skin and clear eyepiece outserts. Canisters are sold separately.
